Wilsons leather stores
Anyone ever purchase a leather jacket from them and if so, were you happy with your purchase?

Years and years and years ago.The recipient didn't have any issues that I am aware of. Didn't know they were still in business. Ours closed many years ago.

If you still have one of those stores in your area, you are lucky; ours closed. I bought a jacket for dh from them over 25 years ago! Unfortunately, he is a cold guy who gets too hot in leather, so I had to take it back. It was a really nice, soft jacket too! It was our first Christmas together so I didn't know any better......

Wow...a blast from the past. Don't have them here anymore, but when they were, I purchased from them with no problems. No issues when returning, and they recommended someone for repairs when son ripped jacket pocket.

Just 'binged' them. At a glance it seemed they were on each coast with MN, MO, OH and more stores opening.

:) love their coats and purses -- I also have a leather hat -- miss having a store in the area

NO. Went to Outlet store in Lincoln City, OR and bought a jacket. Thought it was leather, the salesperson even sold me some leather protectant for it. It smelled like leather, probably because it was in a rack with real leather coats.
The label in the collar said Wilson's Leather. Didn't find out till I got home and searched for the care tag.......... It was not leather, and we couldn't drive back to Lincoln City. So, hubby went to Woodburn Stores to return it (near Portland). That was a four hour trip for him. The receipt had a 30 day return. Lucky we caught it in time. btw I bought him a nice, similar, real leather jacket. |
They are in Tanger Outlet malls. My new jacket is leather. I always check the tags. Some of their purses are a leather-like vinyl. Pretty close to the real thing.

And also notified the manager that you were doing this return via shipping. Crazy to drive the four hours IMHO. Sandy |
I agree. Next time call the store, verify how to send the jacket back, then mail it to them. Would take a lot less than 4 hours and you'd save on gas! My dh had to do that with some Bass outlet shoes that were the incorrect size in the box (discovered after we got home, of course).
