I agree. We were complaining because we had to turn our heat on for a little bit last night and first thing this morning. Luckily it is warming up quickly outside.

BellaBoo 11-07-2013 10:56 AM

Goodness! My ac is still turned on. I don't like cold air but I like snow. I don't have to get out in it anymore so I can enjoy it now.

Pretty, but looks cold. I love it when we have a moist snow that sticks to the trees but hate when it breaks the branches, especially in some of the beautiful pines or when it so deep and heavy I have to waddle out and shake it off the branches that are blocking the tv dish.

It's heeeerrrre!!!!!

I was in Wisconsin on Wednesday heading home to Minnesota. I-94, trucks and cars whizzing by and this was my very first time on the freeway (#1 husband was my chauffeur for 53 years - I was his cook - ha ha) and even though it was beautiful with the hoarfrost it was a little scary. By the time we hit the Minnesota border it was like night and day - three inches more of snow and I realized - "It's Heeerrrre"!

I am now going to cozy up to a sewing machine, let the winter go by (I hired a snow shoveler). I saw a sign at a quilt shop in Osseo, Wisconsin, I think it was, that was painted on a winter blue painted board and it said "Let it Snow - Let me Sew". And that is exactly what I am going to do - all winter long! I am going to print a blue saying on a piece of paper from the printer that I will tape on my window - Let it Snow - Let me Sew!

All I can say is Bundle Up, Keep Warm, make soup and sew. And maybe a nice glass of Mead or a body-warming glass of wine!

Carpe Diem! Edie

Looks Beautiful! Wish we had some here but it seems to be a way off yet. I will enjoy yours.

Wolph33, those are beautiful pictures. Are you ready for it, though? (Winter?) I grew up near Lake Erie. Thought nothing of winter as a kid, but wouldn't want to live there anymore. Hope you like winter and have lots of projects lined up. Weather here right now is like most other people's summer. I can actually get out and do yard work! Not too much sewing going on here.

mjhaess 11-08-2013 06:12 AM

Oh my that is beautiful. I can't imagine living in that again after living in the south. I get cold really easy. After spending years in Buffalo NY I appreciate the heat.

nwm50 11-08-2013 06:47 AM

Breathtaking pic!

mighty 11-08-2013 07:02 AM

Beautiful, but so cold!

Stitchit123 11-08-2013 08:08 AM

I wish this was the only cold stuff I'd have to see .It has been cold and wet here this week but we will be back in the high 50's and mid 60's for the next 7 days. I keep telling myself winters in Missouri are way easier then winters back on Lake Erie.. --my own subliminal messaging.

Jingle 11-08-2013 08:35 AM

Very pretty pictures. Not winter here, yet. I like the colder weather and don't mind the snow. 4WD pick up makes it so much easier to drive in the snow. We work every work day.

delores41 11-08-2013 01:21 PM

Rather you than me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUILTNMO 11-08-2013 03:50 PM

dont want it yet lol!!!

Tothill 11-08-2013 06:15 PM

After work today I was admiring the Marigolds still growing in the city's planter. Tofay I walked to the post office without a coat and was plenty warm enough.

But there was a some snow on the hills last weekend.

We rarely have snow before the new year.

nancia 11-08-2013 08:54 PM

Love the ice blue sky! We're down to freezing, but no snow or ice . Soon, I'm sure! Love winter, summer, spring and fall, just don 't want to miss any of them!

wolph33 11-09-2013 07:39 AM

It is pretty on the trees-But I am not mentally ready.we have more on the way in a few days.Time to hibernate.

Cheryl 11-09-2013 09:55 AM

BRRRRRRRR!!!! is right. I love watching the snow as it is falling and when it has the glistening little sparkles but when it disappears the next day that's when I really like it. I'm older now and I was born in a cold state but lived in different states too but give me the warmth. Thank you for sharing your pictures Wolf. Stay Warm.

Rose_P 11-09-2013 06:01 PM

I have enough happy memories of snow. These days I just love to admire it from a safe distance. Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures, and keep warm!

omacookie 11-09-2013 06:27 PM

At noon today it was in the mid 70's. Hot , but when we woke up it was 45 degrees. Sun shining brightly and people beginning their Christmas shopping. Thank goodness as I work retail PT now. Hugs to you and sleep well

IBQUILTIN 11-10-2013 10:34 AM
