Since we live in middle Tennessee we were not affected by Irene. We were hoping to get a little rain but didn't. I hate life without power.

We were without electricity for 9 days after and ice storm a few years ago in December. I have to say it was very miserable for the first week until DH just happened to walk in at the right time to get a generator.
