We had a GOOD rain here a couple of days ago and I canned 10 quarts of pickles yesterday to prove it! LOL

We went from no rain for weeks to flash flooding yesterday. I never saw so much rain come down in a short period of time. I think we got somewhere between 5-7 inches in one day.

Yeah, you can maybe get some sewing done?!~

Yeah, but it's gone now, sewcrafty. :? We need good soaking rains for a week or more to get back to anywhere near normal. Much as I hate to see it rain for Market Days this weekend, my woodlands are as dry as tinder, the hosta are toast, and who knows what the water level has fallen to in the well. I am doing the happy dance too....we haven't had rain since may. It is pouring..Yippee Skippy!!!!!!

Boy, don't I know it. I tried watering the lawn, USELESS, all brown except over the septic!!! That area actually needs mowing! :lol: :lol: We have a so-so well. Haven't yet run out of water, but who knows. Garden is doing pretty well though, its on a timer for 5am and we water it every night. Otherwise, because of the heat and no rain nothing else is getting watered.

We finally got some much needed rain, and chance of more today. Bring it on. I love to sit out on the porch and watch it rain. Brings back many good memories when I was a child.

We do the happy dance over sunshine this summer. Rain yesterday again but sun is out today. Glad I don't have a garden this year.
