Well ladies, (and guys) I went to jury duty today. Have to go back tomorrow. fun stuff. not been chosen yet they are still questioning us to see if they want us. But I spent most of the day in the pool room. was there till 2:30. then they called my name. was the second to last called in the last bundle of people. but the goodnews is that I got to bring my sewing with me. security didn't even blink when my bag with the quilt and needle and pins went threw the x-ray machine. I am so glad that I got to work on the binding. got one side done. got home tonight and looked at the front and have to take out a section and redue it. the binding didn't catch part of the top when i sewed it. bummer but that is okay. not that hard to fix it. will post pics soon.

Good use of your time. Take advantage of every minute you get to quilt. YOu have it all together. Sorry you were not chosen or you could have finished more projects. LOL

I'm glad you got to bring it in with you. Good use of your time.

Last time I had jury duty I was "selected" for grand jury, and appointed secretary. Spent over 10 months and learned WAY more than I wanted to know about my county and state. Scary stuff goes on here.

How ironic, I just got a letter that I was selected for JURY DUTY!!!

So glad they let you in with your sewing things. I would have taken a book because I would not have thought I would get thru with needles.

you spent 10 Months on jury duty, grammyp? My number has never come up, but my husband's has and his tenure was never more than a couple of days. Why so long for you?

She was on GRAND JURY - that's different from regular jury duty where you are on a jury for a specific case and then done.

You're so lucky! At our court house they're really strict.

I wouldn't have thought that they would have let you bring it in. Good way to past the time though.

Nice that they let you do your sewing!

I am so happy. I was not chosen. today to be on the jury. wish that they had made the decision before lunch time. but better late than tomorrow right? I think that they let me go because I have family who are nuts and this case was about a shrink who the family is blaming for the kid who is legally nuts who killed his mom and aunt. that and I know someone who works in the prosecuting atternies office and my neighbor works in corrections. its all about who you know people. hehe. and everyone if you are called make sure to raise your hand and talk if they ask a question that could apply to you. they like the silent ones the best.
