I had mine drycleaned for just that reason. Was very careful when I wore it to avoid having to pay cleaners too often.

Be careful when dry cleaning. I've taken "dry clean only" to the dry cleaners come back a different color.
I suggest only wearing it in places where it won't get dirty or smelly or wet and simply air it out.

India threads and colors are lively and vibrant and I wouldn't trust any process to keep it that way. You can always spot clean if necessary.
