Wrong Foot

I ordered a J foot for my brother machine, what I got instead was a R foot that looks like the Brother J foot. Does anyone know what this foot goes to. I don't want to use it since it says R instead of J.http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...d=492175&stc=1

The 'R' is a blind stitch foot.

mermaid the blind stitch foot does not look like this for a Brother machine, can you tell me what machine this is for then.
|
You are correct...does not look like my R foot. Is it Bro foot, or generic? The Bro blind stitch foot I have has a raised "blade' in the center and no adjust screw on the side. Yours has a good wide opening for the needle to zz, and if that center could be removed, it would be a great appliqué foot. Now I am stumped, because I have the accessories pictures in front of me! Can you return for correct J foot? I bought a spare 'J' recently from sewingmachinepartsonline...think it cost me about $16. I fussed about the high cost. :-)

They are replacing the foot told me to keep this one. Looks just like the J foot only has an R on it and it's suppose to be Brother

this looks very similar to the A foot of my Janome MC6500 except mine has clear plastic between the toes. Can any one tell me what the spring thing on the back is for? I use this foot all the time.

It looks just like my J foot for my brother. My R foot has a metal piece on the left hand side. The book says it's a blind stitch foot. The J is a zig zag foot.
|
The spring on the back is for when you are sewing different levels of material you push that spring and it's suppose to adjust for the thickens

I have a Brother CS-100 - the manual says the R foot is the blind stitch foot.
|
ok this is not the Brother R foot. This looks nothing like the blind stitch foot, it looks just like the J zigzag foot but only has a R on it not a J.
