Xmas cards International postage

I have not been able to find out how much postage to put on my International Xmas cards this year. Anyone know???

I'm sorry, I can't tell you. I'd just like to tell you that from me (Sweden) to the US is about $3. It will be interesting to see what it is going the opposite way.

OH my gosh. I have some dollar stamps but don't think sending a card would be $3.00. I hope not. i know i just sent my friend in England her present and that was $27.00.

I've just sent a rather small package, I think it would in any other part of the world it would have been a letter, to a friend in Israel. It was about $20 and weighed less than 10oz. My sister lives in Germany, sending packages from Germany to Sweden is half the price compared to the other direction. It is really interesting.

from the US, you can calculate the postage on the USPS site: http://postcalc.usps.com/

Grrr, i have been to that link and get six dollars for a letter or three for a square envelope. One stamp cost, that is all I need to know. international mail for one envelope for a Christmas card.

Bought stamps this week --US First Class for envelopes-cost is now 49 cents each. I buy the 'Forever' stamps so when it comes to buying new stamps, I am surprised at the cost. Ecards are nice, so might be the way I go for Christmas greetings.

Is this the information you need?
http://www.greetingcard.org/Aboutthe...3/Default.aspx

It says that international letters (less than 1 oz.) are $1.15

nativetexan 11-29-2014 01:05 PM

yes, that must be it I guess. Means I will have to go to the post office to mail them. I have one dollar stamps and I'm not adding 49 cent stamps, so another trip is in store. Thanks Much.

They have Global Forever stamps for around the World. I don't remember what I paid for them ; maybe $1.50??

nativetexan 11-29-2014 07:14 PM

I just looked up a square envelope and it's up to $1.36. whew!

AZ Jane 11-30-2014 08:26 AM

Still seems like a bargain. $1.36 for us to send to them, $3 for them to send to us.

That's what we do, too. Those stamps go to any country. Not sure how much they cost, either.
Square cards are a pain because of the extra $$ to mail, but some of those square cards are irrestible!

Just take them to the post office. I do that every year and they tell me.
