I saw that but I do hope you get some much needed rain out of it.

Our storms here in SW Washington don't get official names, at least none that can be shared in public media. We've finished one and gearing up for another this evening. Our roof, gutters, yard and roadway are several inches deep in debris from redwoods. Some of the things that fly out of those trees look like buggy whips. At one time I thought I could make small wattle fences out of them, but gave up on that and just haul them to a place where I want to fill. I am thankful that you are on the side of Erika that fizzled.

WOW, where is it going? Will have to turn to the weather.com to find out.

So glad your weather has improved.

Oh, we got rain! And more is on the way. We live on a slight rise, and the land perks well, so we are okay with rain. It's the high winds that are a problem. :-)
Edited to add: It would be wonderful if some of this rain could go to WA state, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. The fires there are still going strong.

The Weather Channel said SW FL is in an extreme drought. We get rain almost every day & most of the swales are full of water. Have no idea what they are talking about?? We definitely are not in a drought!!

I was watching closely as my DD lives in the very southern tip of Fla, and I was worried about them. The kept stalling about getting things protected, saying "Mom, we will be fine". I guess the rule of thumb is to let the natives decide whether thy should do anything special. I thank God you are all safe.

We have had SO much rain 70 miles south in Tampa they are having flooding problems and we have had a great deal of rain here. Wish I could send mine to CA as we have a friend in Fallbrook, N of San Diego.
