First mow of the season, and I catch a baby rabbit. Today, I caught a baby robin. It was at that not-quite ready for flight stage. I made sure it was fine & then released it back in the yard. Mommy bird was dive-bombing me and calling me every dirty name in the book.

(once again, I thought I had nicked something with my lawn mower)

My mother would warn anyone against robins if you are trying to grow strawberries!

I have a bunch of the tiny wild strawberries around the house - the robins can have those.

I also tend to see the birds almost hang upside-down while eating pears off the tree.

Wish I could take credit for that, but it was just a matter of making sure that I didn't hurt that poor baby. I have a soft spot for baby animals....
