My daughter came home and told me about her day. She took her fiance to the dialysis center and then ran errands for some friends. One guy had to go to the bank. While in there the loan officer did a silent alarm. When the cops showed up, the guy had a concealed weapon in his back. He had a permit, but the teller did not know that. Another couple she took to run errands, he was arrested for open container, he was on probation for the same thing times three. Then this one cop deciided to follow her around town, she(dd) stopped and talked to the cop. My DD was taking these people home, when a drunk driver (18 wheeler hauling fully loaded crates of chickens) decided he needed her side of the road after coming around a turn and ran her off road. Her car is not made for that. Several crates of chickens fell off, so throw that into the mess. Car was not damaged that much and she was not hurt, thankfully she called it a day and came home.

Gracious day! Glad she survived that mess. Sounded like she was driving a war wagon. Well, the Lord was with her and hope all the others got the messages!

Blessings, Ruth

:-o I think I would have called it a day after the bank thing. Sounds like she needs to get some new friends!!

nativetexan 12-18-2010 07:21 AM

sometimes you just need to stay home!! glad she was OK.

Jan in VA 12-18-2010 07:22 AM

Yeah, been seeing a lot of that sort of aggravation/interruption/danger and hurt around, too. Old slew foot is busy messing things up at this time of year. I rebuke him; not putting up with this sort of thing.

Oh my! That is way too much of an adventure for me! I glad she is ok.

Sorry to laugh about it, but it sounds like one of Jeff Foxworthy's comedy routines. Glad she was relatively unscathed.

Willa 12-18-2010 08:07 AM

That sounds like something from the movies! Poor gal. Hopefully no sequeals tomorrow.

CarrieAnne 12-18-2010 08:20 AM

BMP 12-18-2010 08:21 AM

Holy heck all that in one day to one person...almost like a cartoon...I am glad she is OK ...

Maride 12-18-2010 08:34 AM

Your daughter must be an angel, taking her friends to run errands, boyfriend to dialysis center and still she takes them home. I guess she was raised well. I am sure she would do it all again. Bless her.

Quiltforme 12-18-2010 01:11 PM

She had her Angels working overtime! Praise God she is ok!!

Chasing Hawk 12-18-2010 01:34 PM

Her car can be fixed, she is not replaceable.

I am glad she is fine. Maybe she needs to take a lesson from TSA and pat down her passengers from now on. And pull off into the weeds when an 18 wheeler comes near.

How does she feel about chicken now?

ann clare 12-18-2010 01:50 PM

patsyo56721 12-19-2010 05:19 AM

Mountain Deb: Your daughter was certainly in God's hands with her day and the 18 wheeler.

mountain deb 12-19-2010 06:34 AM

I have always prayed that God keeps an angel at her side. He worked overtime that day.

quilt3311 12-19-2010 06:49 AM

Now I know why I stay home and quilt!!!!

Shemjo 12-19-2010 07:43 AM

Oh my! Glad your daughter is okay, but I would certainly send up some prayers in gratitude! Wow!

Ditter43 12-19-2010 07:56 AM

Good Grief! How scary...

quiltmom04 12-19-2010 01:18 PM

If I'm reading this right, your daughter had 2 sets of criminal friends arrested in one day!!! My dad used to say "fly with the crows, get shot with the crows!" She'd better find new friends!

jojosnana 12-19-2010 05:33 PM

Gosh I would have gone back home and crawled into bed long before she gave up., I am glad she made it through

That's not what I took from this, 1 person had a permit, just ran into a jumpy loan officer, the other she may not have known was inconsiderate and got in the car w/open container.
That one gets patted down or no ride next time:)
The other was a Truck driver that she luckily was able to miss !!
He can hang out w/the open container guy, at the hotel w/ 2 hots and a cot.
Nice she was able to help get them around, but sounds like would have been a better day to fly solo.

penski 12-19-2010 07:32 PM

wow glad she made it home in one piece !! she had a heck of a day !!!

#1piecemaker 12-19-2010 08:25 PM

Hope she went home and went to bed. that's what I would have done. And, hid under the covers... Thank the Lord she didn't get hurt.

Dotsie 12-19-2010 09:36 PM

That was a bit of too much adventure for one day?

Rann 12-22-2010 08:54 AM

I always heard things come in 3's--she really had hers-- mine are usually 6's). Several years ago I had a new-to-me car and the inside mirror fell off while on vacation. We repaired it. Within a week of returning home, a woman pulled out in from of me and it took 6 months to fix (this all before the first payment). My DD's fell off not much later and within a week she was hit by a deer. Our family motto now is, if the mirror falls off, get rid of it immediately!

emsgranny 12-22-2010 09:08 AM

Sounds like one of those days you have to laugh or you would cry :XD: So glad she is okay. And the world wonders why there arent any more good samaritans anymore!! So sad when bank employees have to be on such guard...I know several banks/credit unions have been robbed here. I think if we all all more like your daughter and do things for others the world could become a better place...one person can make a difference if more of us become that person. I do what I can but unfortunately not as much as maybe I could - kinda paranoid anymore...I have given rides to strangers before though. Had seen lady on bitterly cold day walking with groceries from nearby store - gave her a ride home..sad part - she was almost scared to get in...what is one to do lol
