I just started quilting after being very shy of it to start with. I found this web site, posted a few questions, and already have got a lot of help with saving money and simple things I need to know.
A very kind person on general chat last night offered to mail me some of her scrpas, and I cannot believe this. You do not know how much it means to me right now just to have someone to be nice to me. People like that are truly angels. My life is going through a major change right now, and I am having to be especially careful with money. I even hesitated to start this because I was not sure how I could afford it all, andnow someone just offered to share!
I have also noticed that many of you have a fondness for cats and dogs. So do I. I have several pets that I have taken out of shelters. I will literally sit down and cry when I see commercials with pets in pounds without homes. No pet should be without a family to love it. Thank you to everyone here for taking care of your pets and loving them, especially to people who have rescued unwanted pets.
I will stop rambling now, but thank you so much for this web site, and your warmth and kindness. God truly does send love when you most need it.

Welcome from Southeastern, PA! Yes, it is wonderful that websites like this let us see that others are having a tough time as well. It kind of puts things in perspective when you hear some of the issues.

Awww.... Don't you just LOVE that warm fuzzy feeling?? And quilting is a GREAT stress reliever. Just needle and thread with a little fabric. A quilt doesn't have to be BIG to be a quilt. Any size counts.

I can't watch the Humane Society ad on tv that feature's the song "In the Arms of an Angel". The sad animals they show just breaks my heart. How people can be so cruel to these lovely creatures is beyond me.

I am so glad the quilt angels are stepping up to the plate again. They are wonderful people, and I would not be able to quilt without them. They have been sharing with me for months now, and it still makes me cry when I get someones scraps, so I can continue to quilt. We are truly blessed. God bless. Penny

Welcome from Kentucky This is a GREAt board. I have only been on it since Feb. but I feel like I have made a lot of friends. I noticed right away that almost all members are animal lovers and avid readers . I just think that is so cool. We can talk about our fur babies and books and share recipes. It's not ALL about quilting (but this is a great place to learn) and everyone is SOOOO nice.
