You Get What You Pay For - The Best Things in Life are Free
Two expressions I've heard often - they don't seem to match up very well, do they?
LOL -- Good point
On Inspector Lewis last night, they said "we are nothing if not discrete". well are they? or not?
Match up quite well to me---if you buy a $500 TV it will be much better than a $100 TV BUT==it will never compare to the love of your family (free) the hug of a child (free) the purring of a cat (free) . Guess it's how you look at it
Oxymorons are even funnier.
Neither are " the early bird gets the worm" and " haste makes waste"!
I have found that most adages have an opposite. Guess it depends if the glass is half full or half empty.
How about: Haste makes waste..............AND.............He who hesitates is lost!
What she said!!!
