Are you going to barbecue/picnic today?

I just asked my hubby and he told me don't have gas for the grill, duhhh, go buy some! men, ha ha

We bbqed yesterday and it was so good.

Well heck no!!! Hubs has his butt parked in the recliner with remote in hand....recovering from surgery. Somebody bring me a rib!!! :thumbup:

DH is gone to a sports convention thingy, both girls are out of town so I thought about staying the weekend in Branson Mo but decided I didn't want to be around a lot of people right now. I'm going clothes shopping later today and then back home to my porch swing to read a new book I bought yesterday.

Bella! Where exactly is that Butterfly Palace in Branson?? Have you been there and is it worth the trip 1 1/2 hours away?

No, no bbqs this weekend. Hubby wanted to know if I wanted him to smoke some ribs (can you cay YUMMMMMMY?) but he had already bought this huge ham that he wanted me to cook....let's see -- hmm, smoked ribs or ham?? The BIG dummy!! :lol:

Had a cook-out/swim party planned at my son's house, the whole family, BUT! Right now it is pouring down rain, windy, lightning, the works! May try for tomorrow as everyone is off, but the weather guy says rain the next 5 days. I knew it!! Just got my pool ready for use, spent yesterday doing the final cleaning. Marsye, my guy didn"t have any surgery, but his butt is in that recliner just like the picture! How is your hubby doing? Hope everything went okay and that it was nothing serious. Carol

How is he Marsye? I hope he is feeling better. Lately he's had more than his fair share of being poked and prodded...'course maybe if he didn't keep dropping his pants....I'm just saying.. :lol: :lol:

We're going to a barbeque tomorrow...burgers and dogs. I'm in charge of Macaroni Salad, and Deviled Eggs so I better get to the store. :wink:

Nope...the rest of the family is at the race and then going to the airport to pick up our daughter. They will eat there. I am leaving in a bit to go to a grad party so I will eat something there. My gosh...it is hot today, isn't it?!!

:lol: :lol: Well..........hes doing ok as far as feeling ok, he runs a low grade fever off and on .....but he has some major swelling down south thats really bothering him. Oh, I'm sorry :-( Keep a close eye on him and make sure he takes it easy. He's been through a lot.

Not today, but tomorrow, at some very good friends house. Will be with good friends most of the day Monday. Will do a little shopping, see a movie and go to a bar-b-que. A full day before heading back to work.

He does that and heating pad all day long.....alternating of course. ;)

No BBQ here, I'm not wild about and Hubby doesn't do it. Son usually does the BBQ, will do some Fathers Day.

No bbq for me, been working 9-1-1 all weekend to keep you guys safe from the drunks and the crazies!

yes we (meaning ME) cooked on the grill - ribs cooked in beer, then finished in Jack Daniels BBQ sauce...
fried potatoes with onion and green peppers cooked in iron skillet also on the grill (a gas grill btw)
3 bean salad
baked beans with cane syrup
Son (US Army Warrant Officer) and his family here...
finished off with marshmallows over an open fire in a different fire pit...
Unfortunately, they have to leave tomorrow (got here Friday) 'cause he has to be back to work Tuesday morning...
and we did remember it is Memorial Day - to thank those who fought for our freedom and have passed away...

We will bbq tomorrow (Monday). Burgers on the grill, some salads, and homemade ice cream. All three grown children/spouse/sig others will be here. Also my dad and step-mom. We will celebrate our middle daughters 22nd b'day (which is Tues) and will celebrate the return of our youngest (20) dd from her study abroad in China. She is somewhere between home and the Indpls airport right now. I can't wait for her to get here!

Yikes...I just caught the weather for tomorrow on the news. It sounds like it is going to rain all day long here! Guess it will be plan B...maybe I will make spaghetti or lasagna...and bake a cake! I will wait to see what tomorrow brings, I guess.

We grilled out tonight, but just the family. Splurged on Steaks, t-bones were 5.99 a lb., so boy friend bought a few, and I did onions and taters on the grill too!
