I have a diploma in carpentry and I like to remodel my house. I knit, crochet, do counted cross-stitch, hand embroider, and am the fix it man at my house.

I can walk and chew gum at the same time is that a talent???????????? Only kidding.....lol.....I crochet, embroider, make Rosary beads and the most fun and fattening I am a pastry chef/cake decorator.

I'm good with kids and dogs does that count? LOL I have dabbled with making dolls a few years ago. I like to do crossstitch tho don't find the time to do it much anymore.I can crochet but my tension isn't always even.
I write poetry mostly silly stuff but some more serious contemplative things. I posted a lot of it in my PDA when I first started it. |
Well back in the late 60's and early 70's I was a hippie and the macrame queen! Macrame shower curtain, hammock, window curtains, belts, hanging plant holders, hair things, dog collar, on and on. I was a nut! Now I can't stand to even look at anything macrame.
Nowadays other than quilting, I sew clothes, home dec, knit, crochet. Used to do counted cross stitch but my eyes aren't as young as they used to be. |

Photography - (weddings, landscapes, nature, events - sold them as cards, one was a post card, one or two published in photography books,) I photographed the Jonesborough Quilt fest one year, and their Garden Walk one year. Crochet - only Granny Squares Wood burning and paper burning. Glass etching. I've also written poetry since a teen ager - Three of which are published. I used to cross stitch ( 25 years of joy!), but can't see now. so I took up quilting.. just poke my nose every now and then being to close to the needle/throat plate - guess I missed the poking of my fingers when stitching. But, I am a poet, and avid gardener , and ever busy weed puller. So many other things I do, but like most quilters, I return to that which I love - fabric, and sewing machine!

I cant post pictures, no camera! I love organic gardening, can embroder pretty well.used to love cross stich, but have a hard time seeing the squares now!

Another poet here--published in Lyrical Iowa--the annual anthology of the Iowa Poetry Association. Have even placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Haiku division of the contest.

Awesome, poet friend! I have had several poems made into recorded songs from a musical friend of mine in Tacoma, Washington. He is working on a project with a record company right now, with 2 songs taken from my poetry.. The CD will be used as a way for a foreign country ( can't recall which ) to learn to plant, and grow, and harvest trees for their impoverished country. The CD title will be named The Mercy Tree , which is what my poem was called.
Amazing sometimes to know that words can turn into something bigger than what the poem was meant to become. |

I used to do a lot of counted cross stitch, but my eyes don't allow that any more, so I do machine embroidery. Here are some of the fun things I've done.
Also, I like to just sew. I'll attach the flower girl dress I made for my son's wedding. It was soooo cute. The tulle on top was doubled and we filled it with silk rose petals. Then we pulled it up over her head just before she walked down the aisle and petals were falling in her skirt as she was spreading rose petals down the aisle. It was fantastic. I have recently started decorating cakes. My kids and dh don't like cake that much, so I don't get much practice.

I love cross-stitch, knitting, working with paper, baking - pie is my specialty but I love working with any kind of dough. I like to sew anything but curtains- yuck!! I'm a decent cook but don't really like to. My husband is a fantastic cook- yippee!! Love perennial and herb gardening. But quilting is by far my favorite way to express myself. Love all the wonderful pics of all your talents!!! |

I cross stitch and have some wips and ufos to prove it, also I knit a lot. I crochet but don't have a picture of the afghan I gave to a niece last year. Did I mention I knit a lot!? :D :lol:

I love to knit and crochet. I taught my sis and she loves it. Everyone in her family has afghans. I enjoy counted cross stitch and did ceramics for a while. Sewing clothing. I sewed so many of my kids clothes. And of course quilting. Between my sis and I none of our kids will be cold. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I did cross stitch for 17 years. Gave some away, and kept some.
I also like photography. There are other things but they do not require talent. Collect blue glassware, and also movies. |

I enjoy alot of different crafts and projects. I knit, crochet, embroidery, do plastic canvas, paint ceramics for Christmas, cross stitch, sew clothes, curtains, etc.,make decorative wreaths and flower baskets, do home decorating, and macrame. Here's some pictures of my projects.

I do counted cross stitch, crochet and knit, I also sew clothing and purses although it's been a while. I used to do macrame and ceramics also. I am so jealous of you that can do carpentry. I bought a house that is a true fixer upper and my best friend will be the internet and how to books since most of the work will be done by your truly. I moved out here about 2 weeks ago and have been working at the paying job and then working on the nonpaying job(the house)almost everyday since. I took a little rest this morning to check in here, I will be so glad to be able to spend some time at the sewing machine again.
