We bought our place here some 25 yrs ago. There are many hills and valleys here, and we picked a place 1/2 down a hill with a creek in the valley, I love that area. Hubby promised me a house in 5 years. I wanted beautiful quilts in my house. There expensive right. So with limited sewing skills, I decided I would learn to make quilts, Ha Ha lol.
25 yrs later still no house, longest 5 years in history is my book in progress, LOL. But I call myself valleyquilter because I love the valley w/the creek and I love making quilts. I also apprecate the price of those expensive quilts. LOL :-)

My very first quilt a roman candle

Last name, first initials.... Also in technology - so it is easier for me to keep everything pretty much kopacetic.... I have too many logins and passwords to remember otherwise.

I fell in loves with puffins after seeing them while visiting Alaska and ended up with a soapstone carving of one as a souvenir of the trip. That was probably over 25 years ago. I've been collected puffin-related things since then. My nickname is Ginny.

I do a lot of "unsewing".
Now that I have a new machine that doesn't eat fabric (woo-hoo) requiring the ripping of seams, I may just bronze my seam ripper. :)

I have been actively involved in aerobatics, aka akro, ever since DH and I met. We have been IAC regional judges for slightly longer than we have been married and I also competed briefly, until the horses took over, lol.

The US Unlimited team is currently in Italy competing at the World Aerobatic Championships and looks to be in good position to bring home the bronze medal

Well, the first one I tried was taken. So I decided to find one that was appropriate and descriptive. Enough said.
