This is the best explanation I've heard yet!

At least my clock chimes will be correct again! Been having to subtract one hour if I could only hear it and not see it!

Yep, and when it first came many farmers thought the crops and the animals were going to suffer because of the extra hour! Bet they weren't the only ones!

I am glad to spring ahead tonight! I absolutely LOVE the daylight into the evening hours. Personally, I wish we would just stay on it year round! That said...I am a kdg teacher and I can tell you...we LOSE the kids from this point on. They stay up way too late at night and are tired and grouchy during the day.

Thanks for the reminder. And I think that it should go back to the 3 months of summer, because I agree with Pam B, kids in school suffer the most, when we change times, both spring and fall. And the Indian said it best. I could not agree with him more.

So right about the kids. By the time, they get adjusted, school is out!! Getting them to bed is so hard because they haven't wound down yet. My 5yo DGD is spending the night...we've been at ball field all day with older brother and even though her bedtime is usually 8pm, she is still awake!! At least she's lying in the bed watching a movie!!

I agree with the indian. It has never made sense to me. I hate DST, my body is set to CST. I wish they would stop changing it and just pick one or the other. I have heard that before.
