Default Grrrr...Feline Folly.. One of the Girls did it!

Trimmed and random sorted a 90+ piece stack of 3" scraps last night for the binding on the exploding blocks quilt..sorted by pattern and length and put them next to the sewing machine to sew along as I felt like it...Got up to a scrambled up mess...Now they are really random...Grrrrr...I know it was one of the girls because they are the ones that "get even"...AND they got thrown out of the bedroom last night because they were deliberately banging on stuff to keep us awake. Someday I will learn to put stuff totally away...Not like kids where you can find out who did it or punish them all or threaten them with military school....they won't confess...I have watched Callie do something to wake DH up then either take off like a speeding bullet before he sees her or drop down and pretend to be asleep. He will swear she didn't do anything...had to take a picture to prove it..He fell totally in love with her the first day she showed up freezing and starving and is blind to her faults. She is the really sneaky one...Istar does the same thing just isn't as subtle and gets caught, but since I was asleep I don't know which one did it.... Can't live with them and can't live without them. LOL

Well, now you do really get random & scrappy! That's why I keep my sewing room door closed!

I have learned to cover up my projects. Kola seems to think anything I work on is hers.

My grey cat "pets" us to get petted! My tuxedo just noses my hand and talks. Both are a pain when you are working on a project. Cutting fabric... Gotta lay on it! Laying out the blocks ...gotta skid across the mane rearrange them!

I'm not really mad at them...actually think it's funny the tricks they play on us and each other...we have four...had five but our beloved 17 year old passed away a year ago and we miss him terribly. Callie gifted us with Istar and Jackson 63 days after she was rescued..how's that for timing...they have filled our lives with joy and learning about how alike we are. Can't imagine life without them.

Most people put a bed runner on the bed in case of cold toes, mine is there to catch the cat hair and keep it away from the pillows. I have a long haired black cat named Bruno who will only sleep on cotton, so I put a cheap cotton quilt from a garage sale on the foot of the bed over the cotton/polyester bedspread. Works like a charm, so now I have got to make a pretty bed runner in burgundy, soft blue, cream, and black to match the bedroom. He has recently discovered that if he pokes me with his claws, early in the morning, I will get up and let him out. Should never have done it the first time. Demanding little bugger!
