With all of the disasters happening all over the world, I'm thinking that perhaps the Lord is trying to tell us something.

Don't forget the people of Carnavon in Western Aust, they are flooded as well. Watched the flood appeal on TV last night, it was heartbreaking to see the devastation to crops, not to mention the loss of wildlife as well as people's properties. My daughter has just returned to a rainy Brisbane after 2 weeks of perfect weather here in Tasmania - daylight saving and warm sunny days, oh how she misses them.

I have been wondering how our quilter friends are doing over there. Stay safe and know that lots of prayers are coming your way.

Is the government aiding these flood victims?

Yes the Government is providing aid and help to the flood victims. It is getting worse each day - yesterday there was a flash flood on a city inland - a huge wall of water hit without warning, washing away houses, cars, people - so far there have been 8 reported deaths, including children and this is expected to rise....so very sad.

Have friends and family live in this city area so am a little concerned today.

And in the west, there are huge bushfires raging.

Can't win. Somebody is either being flooded, burned or blowed away. Then the bottom falls out from earthquakes. At least we don't have volcanos in Texas. Prayers & good luck to you all.

My prayers go out to all living in this. Heard on news today that the aligators are now becoming a problem. OMG.

There was a story on the news a couple of days ago about a property owner whose house was surrounded by land not flooded (about the size of an average football field) and this property owner and his wife were safe but sharing their space with over 1000 deadly snakes who were looking for dry land. Now that would be unbelievable - I would not be able to sleep that's for sure
