Question about crochet
I am crocheting a baby blanket and I remember hearing someone talking about blocking their crocheted blankets.
Do any of you who crochet do that and how would I go about blocking a blanket?

Wash it or at least get it wet and then push it into shape and let dry flat. Pretty much like washing a sweater and drying it on a rack. It things are a bit out of square you can tug it a bit here and there to help it out.

I agree with Lisa above .... I do this because some of my crocheting may be loose while at other times my stitches are tighter; doing this evens out most of my stitching. One reason I like to crochet is that the stitches are pliable. Some baby is going to love this blanket.

Ive never had a problem with the shape of my crochet and Ive made alot of afgans. No washing dosnt change the shape but if you use wool or cotton it might shrink. But have never used these so dont know.
