I like it better than Michaels. you can find things in Hobby Lobby easier. it's not open on Sundays though.

For those who may not know this USUALLY
the HL 40% off coupons run every other week.

This was explained to me by the store manager
of the HL that I go to most often.

I LOVE shopping at HL and you can quite often find
fabrics that normally would cost 6.99+ on clearance
for 3.00-5.00 per yard (at least this is the case for
the 2 stores nearest my home).

If you happen to use insulbright they have the BEST
price on this it is about 23" wide and 2.49 per yard
other stores like Joanns sells it for over 7.00 py, and
theirs is usually wider, but I do not like the wider stuff.

With the 40% off coupon you can get the insulbright
for approx. 1.50 per yard.

[quote=yayaquilts]Love Hobby Lobby and so wish we had one in San Diego County or anywhere in California!
===============================
Hobby Lobby is coming to CA...we are getting one that is now under construction. It's in a huge store that Gottschalks left, and I think the paper said there's another one going in at the same time, may have been North of us, don't remember.

I'm looking forward to it, since the Gottschalks building is HUGE!!

Las Vegas got Hobby Lobby finally and it is wonderful. Way better then Michaels. It seems brighter and just nicer. Plus the employees have been so nice and very helpful.

I made the mistake of taking my husband with on my last visit. He was quite impressed with all the home dec stuff.

Their fabrics are FABULOUS!!!! And love the prices. And all of their solid colors are KONA cottons. And at a great price too.

I LOVE Hobby Lobby! So much better than Michael's! And their fabric is just wonderful! They have some pretty good quilting stencils as well.

Just a suggestion, the first time you go, plan to stay awhile!! I am planning a Hobby Lobby shopping day with my DD, I want to just go in and look at everything. Usually I just have time to run in and get what I want. They have so many great things there...oh and their after the holiday sales are great!! Don't miss out on them. Have fun and enjoy your new store.

I have one that I use all the time, mine is cheaper than Michaels and yes they have a 40% coupon in my Sunday papers good for one week.

If you love stencils to machine quilt or by hand, I just purchased a book that has 501 quilting motifs. The book is from the editors of Quiltmaker magazine.
