All my quilts (6) are out for LAquilting. so I 'm just having fun with small stuff that will not be done until later as the schedules at the LAQ are so FULL. People have really been working! I plan to make to cute owl aprons, three pillow cases and start a small Christmas Quilt and work up odds and ends to clear my space

[QUOTE=amh;5691311]I'm relatively new to the board, and am learning so very much. I have posted one question and have received valuable advice.

However, I am no longer able to post. I get this message:

I had a look last night and there are some others who have the same problem. If people can't post, the activity is going to go down.

I'm not sure who to contact.

Try sending a PM to Patricia and ask her to explain. I've never seen that message and I don't understand it.

I have noticed that sometimes when one has a difference of opinion they can be put down a bit. It makes one hesitant to get in on the discussion. I can't manage the new format as well as the original so don't visit as often. I'm not a two year old, I am 74. Really miss some of the folks.

I've been working on this year's fireworks quilt (due next August), just got back from visiting my parents and helped with a party for my Dad's 100 birthday, add in a Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, with out of town family in attendance and more family visits with 3 generations this weekend, have made me be absent from the QB lately. We're going to cut a tree tomorrow. I also agree that Thanksgiving last week and all the preparations that go into hosting/helping with a dinner, take away from spending time on the QB. Add in shopping and or making gifts in the coming weeks and it'll probably be January before you see things pick up around here.

Well, since I broke my wrist and ankle, I've been on here lots more. I can't cut or sew, so this is as close to a quilting fix as i can get.

I think everyone is busy with shopping and making gifts. It is a busy time of year. I'm sure they will be back.

Sorry to hear about your wrist and ankle. The bright side is you will have lots of time to design and plan new quilts.

Yes, We noticed. But this time of year is busy for all; quilts to finish; charity work; some vaccations; stores to visit and buy FABRIC--FABRICSSSSS; and more FABRIC;;;; HAha;; FABRIC-----------Lately sending packages to remote villages in Alaska of left over flannels and cottons to help their stashes; they have no electricity and sew by hand. Any way so just been busy; but will pickup after Holidays. I still do my best to atleast the board as often as I can; Like a bunch and every one on it. We hope every one has a great Holiday Season;;;;My DH and I........................!!!!
