Another cold night without power. Nellie must be wanting to snuggle for warmth.

You have a great attitude.. I am tired of the situation. I have electric, cable, but no heat, or hot water. I have my mom, brother, sister inlaw, and the two kids hanging out, off, and on with me, as they have no electric etc.. They are close to a sub station that is rebuilding.. As for the dogs.. My guy is freezing his behind off, and the doodle is enjoying the cold. Now we are being warned about the looters coming through our area, as a lot of people left their houses

I am so sorry to hear about what you are experiencing on the east coast and am thinking positive thoughts your way. Re Nellie - I'm a bulldog lover (just found some bulldog fabric!) and she looks like such a sweetie.

I am sorry that you are having to deal with this situation. Hang in there as things will be getting better as each day goes by. We have gone thru 2 major ice storms and we survived. Electric was out for at least 2 weeks both times. Our water was off 10 days the first storm. We do have a propane cookstove and we heat with wood, so we were warm and not hungry. When the second storm came we were prepared and decided to just have fun. We had parties every night with close family and friends. Lots of laughter and beer. Just tonight as we were talking about Sandy we started remembering our ice storms. You will be telling stories about Sandy for many years.

I will continue praying for everyone that was affected by Sandy.
