My daughter & I follow the Outlander series. The way the last book ended I thought it might be the last one, but I read where she is working on another. How can she fill another 800 pages? What a talent! Kudos to anyone that reads through them a second time.

I love George MacDonald's The Curate's Awakening. And all his books really.

I too prefer mystery/detective books and romantic suspense, especially Janet Evanovich and JD Robb (Nora Roberts), but am more addicted to buying free books for my kindle (thanks to the QB member who first told us about that fabulous book site)

I've read and enjoyed many of the books you all have read. Most recently read The Necklace by Cheryl Javris and The Snow Child by Ivey Eowyn. Both excellent and thought provoking reads. Loved them both.

I read to Kill a Mockingbird in school. I reread it several years later to see what I missed because everyone had it as a favorite in the book clubs I was part of. It is still not on my list of favorites. The part of it I liked the most were the characters names. I always felt I was missing something not liking the book that much.

I loved these books. Used to have them all, but donated them when I moved.

Anything by Jodi Picoult. If you haven't read her work, start with My Sister's Keeper.
