Thread: Robins nest taken over by MORNING DOVES UPDATE

    The first picture is the robins nest
    the 2nd picture is after the robins left and the morning dove moved in
    the 3rd picture is what I found in the next this morning

    I think there is two babies, maybe when I took the picture of the egg she wasn't done, its also common for other mothers who cant make or find a nest in time will lay eggs in another mothers nest.

    Very pretty robin eggs , this is very interesting. Don't know if we have morning doves here, we do have the brown doves, don't know their real names.

    Really cute. I bet mom laid the second egg the next day. They both look about the same size.

    When I was growing up we called the brown ones turtle doves. Also I was told that pigeons and doves hatch out a pair of babies. 1 male and 1 female. Don't know it that is true or not but I bought it.LOL
