Owwwwwie owie owie! You know ice cream helps cure all ills, including missing chunks of finger. ;) I hope it heals quickly and you're back at your sewing table soon!

Owwie, ouch, owwie, ouch!!!! That is terrible! Someone should invent the QUILTERS PURPLE HEART for anyone one that injures themselves that badly.

So sorry about your accident. I cut my pointy finger, including the fingernail last fall. Took a long time to heal!! Made me feel very insecure about using the rotary cutter for a long time, but I'm over it now :-)

I had exactly the same accident. I was stressed because a beloved grandson was in the ICU and was cutting pieces to take to the hospital with me. Ruler slipped and cut right along side my nail like yours did. Another grandson took me to the drugstore and bought some kind of bandages that you leave on until they fall off on their own. I did that and when it finally came off my finger was well! Tender but all healed. Am extremely careful now!

OUCH! Will take that to heart, I've cut myself several times, but never to that extent. Hope you heal up quickly!

Oh my Gosh-I fear doing that all the time-I take Warfarin so it would really be bad for it to happen to me- Hope you heal quickly!! You'll never do that again.

My daughter cut the whole tip of her finger off on a meat grinder at work. And she said that was PAINFUL. So I am sure that what you did was ALSO really painful. I hope that you heal fast and that it doesn't interfere with your sewing.
