Default After christmas sales anyone?

How many of you will brave the crowds looking for bargains and making exchanges tomorrow (well, today now)!!????? I know I NEVER try to exchange anything unless I'm trying to find a different size, etc and know that more inventory won't come in. I try not to store up too much gift bags and wrapping paper...for one thing, every time I look for something in my closet, the Christmas stuff is the only thing I can find and most times, it falls on my head!!

I may attempt some of the local stores (not the mall) to pick up a few last minute things for stocking stuffers, etc. Our family Christmas gathering is not until Thursday night! That works well lots of time because you can get gifts on sale!! LOL

I have spent my Christmas day, choosing fabric and embroidery designs to make ornaments. Just taking my time not stressing over it...of course, that could be that nice glass of wine I had around 3:00 PM..is that too early for a glass of wine...no hard liquor...and I saved the peanut butter cups till just now with a Diet Coke.

Ok, Ok, I'm getting giddy...better step away from the machinery!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!

I read somewhere that diet coke coats the stomach and prevents calorie absorption. LOL. just kidding.
Too afraid to hit stores because I would have to take my kids....
i use the funnies from newspapers to wrap gifts. I buy the papers for the coupons and the funnies are then free.

No...I rarely fight the crowds to hit the after-Christmas sales. Besides, we are under a blizzard warning today. I just love to be snowed in for a few days....I will spend my time sewing, reading, and watching movies. All the things I don't normally get to do when school is on.

I dont hit the discount stores for sale Christmas items, but on Thursday, a LQS has an inventory reduction sale at all fabric 40% off. I WILL BE THERE. She said it is for tax purposes and to make room for the new inventory.

No after Christmas sales for me. My Grandkids are between 10 and 25, gift cards are the perfect gift for them. Always the right color and fits perfectly.

No sales for me either! We just have way too much stuff as it is. I really want less, not more. I decided next year, it will be gift cards, cash or quilty items. ( Again) I am just not into the retail stores..

Oh, come on! We are quilters, we are tough. I went out for about four hours today looking for Christmas clearance. I picked up a few gifts for next year at Kmart and even did some of my daughter's shopping since she had to work today. By the time I got to Walmart, the shelves were almost cleaned off. I picked up a few decorations and somethings we can use for my daughter's upcoming wedding. It wasn't very crowded and even the exchange line at Walmart was only 6-8 people deep. Not too bad at all.

DD and I went out this afternoon to about 4 or 5 stores. I spent only about $15. DD spent a couple hundred.

I used to shop the after Christmas sales...but don't need anything more in my house...even fabric... until I use some of what I already have. I also am preparing to hopefully move sometime in the next several months and am doing packing and cleaning out and giving away...though not much from my sewing room. Will reassess that after I move when I see what I have room for. Will be hopefully selling my house and moving into something smaller with no maintenance for me. Exciting, but change is hard, as well as letting go of items that I have collected over the years.
