When I was a little girl, Santa left unwrapped gifts under the tree - front and center! It was my tradition to get up in the middle of the night, usually with a flashlight, sneak into the living room and.... well.... snoop! lol. My mother would watch without me knowing. I realized when I was older and we discussed it that she loved that tradition as much as I did. Sometimes my older brothers would get up and join me and we'd just hang out in the living room in the middle of the night. Great memories.

When I met DH, his son was 8 and Santa left his presents under the tree wrapped. Too bad it didn't do him much good to snoop in the middle of the night.

So, just wondering.... were your Santa presents wrapped or unwrapped?

some times yes and some times no. we were not aloud to snooop.iron fist if you will. But we sure knew how to beat the system we had to go to bed at 7 p.m. and then get up at 11:00p.m. for midnight mass then back to bed by 1 a.m. and we would always be back up by 4 a.m. and getting into our stockings which were left in front of our bedroom doors. so we had early christmas by getting into them.

unwrapped. Right under the tree were our stockings and gift :) After we were married went to my husband's family's home for Christmas and much to my surprise everything that santa brought was wrapped. I mean everything. Even all the little goodies in the stockings were wrapped. And they always did all their gifts Christmas eve. So Christmas morning the only gifts left were what Santa brought. Very different than what I was use too :)

Mine were wrapped unless it was too big to fit under the tree. Then there was a string tied to the tree with my name on it and it was strung all over the house until I found the end tied to my present.

wrapped, and the stocking in the living room have wrapped gifts in them. When my boys were small there was a sock with unwrapped toys and such on the bottom of their bed hopfully to keep them occupied for an hour or so. The stockings are a combination of my childhood (on the bed) and my husbands (in the living room).

Santa's gifts were all wrapped, stocking stuffers too! Big items were left in the garage for us :D:D:D

When my kids were young, I wrapped Santa's and the stocking stuffers in Santa paper, all of the rest of the gifts were in other types of paper.

We elected to not do Santa gifts. Most of the children's gifts were wrapped except for the bigger ones which we would sometimes display in front of the tree

As a child, Santa did not wrap the gifts that he gave us.
