There was a gal from the garment district of NYC on Fox this morning. She explained cost of fabric as well as the people who make clothing are going up, but, the clothing is "less" stretchy fabric for jeans, seams around the pockets of pants, use of more zippers then buttons. Seems buttons are more expensive then zippers. She went on and on about all these different things. It was interesting.

i didn't see the article but have you looked at buttons lately? :shock: even just plain buttons are outrageous and if you want something not so plain, wow i couldn't believe it!

I was in Denver Fabrics a couple of years ago and found some seriously fabulous buttons. They were one button to a card and each button was $20!!! :shock: I just petted them and left them there.

I have been collecting buttons for many years. I have a large drawer full so I want have to buy for a long time.
