While cleaning out my Mother-in-laws house I found a wooden wall placket that is in German and it reads:

Ein Liebes Wort am frühen Morgen erfreut das herz den ganzen tag

Would anyone happen to know what this says? Thanks in advance.

As a retired German teacher, a more accurate translation would be: A loving word in the early morning will give joy to the heart the entire day.
