Default Self cleaning litter box

Do you have one? Which brand?

Does Kitty like it?

Does Kitty refuse to use it or goes potty elsewhere because of it?

Is it noisy enough to scare the "pants" off kitty?

We are thinking of getting one for Miss Kola.

We were given a Litter Maid one for Christmas. We love it. Cats love it. It pauses after they use it before cleaning, and has never scared them No problems thus far. Cut down on smell immensely. You do have to buy the containers for the poop, and use light wt. litter, but we re-use cantainers sometimes. : )

Thanks for the response. I found one made by Litter maid for about 129.00.

Kola isn't to keen on changes, but she is a really easy going cat.

We had one about 11 year ago and our oldest cat (at the time)
urine made such a LARGE clump that the "rake" had a hard time
moving it. After about 5-6 months it broke.

If you have more than 1 cat I don't recommend getting it unless
you plan to get more than one box.

I think the main reason ours broke so soon was because we had
3 cats.

But it was great while it lasted.

We use a recycled paper little box and has no odor.
we clean it regularly, every other week we dump and start anew with the litter. once a month
we use a new box. no order at all, i think it's the recycled box that absorbs the urine and stink.

Each of my cats were afraid of the noise it made and would not use it: unfortunately, they did their duty outside the device.

I've thought about getting one but wasn't sure how good they worked. Cost is another factor. I'm still trying to get my two to use the litter boxes all the time. Any suggestions?? They were supposed to be box trained when we got them but after two years they still don't use it all the time.

Cost is a factor for us too. Especially if she hates the thing and won't use it.

What type of litter do you use? My sisters cat wouldn't use his box because of the litter she put in it.
She went back to his usual brand and was fine after that. She calls him a picky old man..lol

Kola won't eat one colored cat food....lol
We bought it once and she refused to even go near it. She loves Meow Mix, we call it her tri colored cat food.

That is what we are worried about. She doesn't like loud noises or strange sounds.
