Love Sewbern's snow man. We had -65 degrees F (windchill) and I would gladly send some of that!

I'd love to send you the 30 degree Fahrenheit weather from here. All of my roses are in bloom, but have to be covered by...you guessed it! FABRIC!! To keep them from freezing. It's really funny to drive by houses and see the plants wrapped up with all kinds of things: sheets, blankets...fabric of any kind. BUT we have hot summers, but not as hot as you're having. Hope you catch a break soon. Wondering if you have air conditioning or how you keep cool.

Saw on the news how hot it is there. I live in Alaska and would send you some of our weather if I could.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and trying to keep us cool with your lovely snow pics. Just to update everyone: Yesterday Adelaide was named the hottest city on earth, even though we only reached 44C. but in our back yard the temp rose to 47.5C Today with the change coming in from the south west and the winds rising there has been 33 fires in South Australia and many across the border in Victoria. Sadly one person has died in a fire and several houses have been destroyed. The temp has dropped 10degrees in the last hour so that cool change will arrive sometime tonight. Hopefully with some rain to douse all the fires as well.
Yes we do have air conditioning which has kept our house reasonably cool this past week.
There was a great story on the news tonight: a 92year old lady was interviewed about how she keeps cool without aircon. The boss of one of our large stores saw the report and donated an air conditioner to her. Lovely!
There has been 275 people admitted to hospital suffering heat stroke.

This is the scene of Adelaide from MT Lofty last Friday night as the cool change swept over the city. The lightening caused many fires.
