If your casino is like ours here, 95% of the patrons are "seniors". They probably didn't even notice you were just a youngster of 55. Take the money and run!

we got a senior discount yesterday at lunch without asking; my husband who's 75 and looks it, was slighly offended (lol) that the cashier didn't ask!

Had that happen at the movie theater once. didn't know whether to laugh or cry(I was maybe 50 at the time) Just smiled at the young man and said "thanks".

Wish I could get discounts - I'm retired. over 60 and have to pay

I took advantage of senior discounts the first chance I could. My husband thought it would people think he was old so he passed them by (I don't offend that easily). At dinner one night, I told the waiter separate checks (my husband paid for both) and showed my discount card. Boy, did that ever open his eyes. He made sure he got the discount from then on everywhere we went. I now go on bus trips to a local Indian casino where we get the cost of the bus back in "free money" and a free (fabulous buffet) lunch. Needless to say, 99% of the trippers are seniors. I say age earns the discounts, so smile and take them. You may look like a senior, but you can always be "young at heart".

My hair is mostly dark, at 64 I have to ask about senior discounts. Just think -- every bit you save is more fabric you can purchase.

Make sure you ask. A lot of places start the discount at 55 (some at 50) since that is what AARP considers "senior". I find it pays to ask. As an aside - my daughter who was not quite a senior - had purchased my ticket at the local state fair. When asked if she could also get a ticket (she was not quite eligible) at the senior price, her reasoning was she felt like a senior. The cashier smiled and gave her the senior price.
