Can anyone give me basic length of skirt & waist? I am just sewing a rectangle with a pull on elastic waist. TY! Child lives faraway!

Ask the child's mom to measure one of her skirts from the waistband down to the hem. Then just use that measurement plus the hem allowance for your skirt length.
