Default Butte Montana Quilt Shops?

My son and I may be going on a road trip to Butte Montana this May or June. He wants to visit a high school friend who is from there originally and will be visiting family for a couple weeks. We are just not sure of the dates yet.

We looked into his flying there, but the price of a plane ticket is high and it has been a couple years since our last road trip.

One way will be via the Trans Canada Highway Vancouver Island to Calgary then South. This allows us to visit family in AB.

The other way may be through Idaho, Washington and back across the border at Blaine.

Can anyone suggest any quilt shops in Montana between the Canadian border and Butte? I love to drive, so if there is a great shop within 100 miles of the main route let me know.

Sorry I don't know about quilt shops in Butte, but there should be some since they have a rather great artist community, or at least there was back in the late 90's. My daughter & I did the drive thru Montana, Idaho and into Washington last summer. We loved the drive. We had been visiting friends in Colorado Springs and then went to WA to visit family. I loved it! The last time I had been thru that part of the world was in 1968.

Hope you get to make the drive and have a wonderful time!

There are nice quilt shops on the Montana side of the border. PM Quilting in Sunburst, MT, Quilt A Way and Big Sky Quilts in Great Falls, MT, Creative Stitches, The Sewing Palace and one other downtown on Last Chance Gulch in Helena, MT. Creative Needle and Quilt With Class in Shelby, MT. All of these are on I-15. My persona favorite is PM Quilting in Sunburst, but I like all the others. Have fun and make time to stop and shop. Several of them have web sites.

Sorry, there aren't any quilt shops in Butte. The are some in surrounding areas. Whitehall, just over the pass on the interstate has a small nice one. Helena has several. Sounds like a great road trip!

There is the Creative Closet in Townsend and Ben Franklin in Helena and lots in Bozeman. Maybe you could Google search.

I did a search and if I can I will post a link.
It won't paste so just search Montana quilt and fabric shops. There is a site with all the listings.
