Those are beautiful the remind me of peace roses. Irises are great flowers such a wide variety of colors.

I believe they are hybrids. I have an Iberian Irs's they are White tops with purple bottoms and some are streaked with the purples. My Husband got them for Mother's Day 4 -5 years ago. I have lots of buds, will be opening soon.
Yours are beautiful, I love those colors.

I "heard" that scattering cut hair around the flowers will keep deer and some others away since they get the smell of humans. Some barbers and hair salons may give you some to try.

Twinkie: Would you like to sell some of those bulbs. Maybe they cross pollinated. I used to have a big bed of them at our previous home. Got a lot of rye weeds in them and was going to try Preemie, but we moved.

Just beautiful and they could be used for ideas of colors to make a quilt. Everything comes back to quilting in my world :-)

So pretty and unusual. I didn't know they could be multi-colored!

Twinkie,
Your irises are beautiful, I've never seen the bi-colored type until now. Thank you for sharing a photo with us. My Mom and Grampa used to have lots of irises.

I have the same problem with goats, Nammie. I don't like goats, they eat everything. <sigh>

Beautiful! I have never seen that combo. We have some blue ones growing in our area.
