Default Tablecloths

I am going to order polyester tablecloths for 72" round tables. I've checked 3 websites. One has 76" cloths, but most are 90". This is not for a wedding, but a church table. The 76" was more expensive than the 90". Does anyone know any particular websites that are reliable and have good reviews? Also, do you think a 12" drop is too long? Thanks for your help.

I found this website on tablecloth sizing and, according to it, the standard drop for round tables is 15". So, the 90" tablecloths should be fine for 72" tables. (This page actually recommends 120" tablecloths for 72" round tables! I'd probably go with 90", though, for church tables.)

I think a 12" drop would be perfect. Far less fabric for folks to have to deal with when sliding in/out from under the table. I don't know that we've used more than that for any of our firehouse functions with same size tables.

When I have made tablecloths for home use, I have allowed a 10" drop, because I don't like dealing with fabric in my lap, but I think a 12" drop would be fine. I wouldn't want more than that though. If you are setting up a table for serving, or just to display something, I don't think it matters how long the drop is. I have seen them all the way to the floor when they are not for seating.

90" - 72" = 18"
Divided in half for half on each side = 9" hang all around.
I think that would be perfect (unless I am having a senior moment!

For eating - I don't want tablecloth in my lap or on the chair! I have visions of it getting pulled off the table with everything crashing down.

I agree with the others - hate having to deal with fabric in my lap, unless it's a quilt!

Partysales.com has great tablecloths at good prices. I have ordered several and used them for years.

Its very pretty if you take the overhang and pull it up in 5 or 6 spots and tie off with a rubber band, the part that is through the center is puffed out to form a flower. Makes a scallop edge that is fancy

A friend of mine place an order for several hundred dollars worth of tablecloths from this company and said she was very pleased. I am in awe of their prices.
