It's in Stockton near UOP. It was a great price at $115k. It wasn't usual to find a house in such good shape for the price but they kept lowering it. I was lucky to get it. My agent told me today, "You know how many people ask me about this house?" and another of her clients really wants it, says to contact him if my deal doesn't go through.

The neighborhood is very quaint and old fashioned, the houses look like little gingerbread houses and cottages, huge old trees overhanging the streets.

looks like a happy home - so smart to plan ahead & prepare for retirement years. I bet you were singing on the inside while you were signing on the outside!

Congratulations. This is a good time to buy houses, they are so low priced now it's almost unbelievable. Smart of you to look ahead, lots and lots of people don't and regret it.
I wish you were my neighbor.

You'll be very close to me! I'm North of Stockton in Elk Grove;> We'll have to play together.

Merced isn't far from Stockton or Elk Grove! My close co-worker lives in Elk Grove but he works at our office near Sacramento. I work in the East Bay.
