Default My grand nephew's first quilt

This week my 20 year old grand nephew finally made his first quilt with me. He had been mentioning it for a couple of years but he has little time to himself what with classes and part-time job. He had the quarter inch seam down in no time! He made a simple stacked bricks top with pieces I had ready cut, then quilted it on my Tin Lizzie. I did the machine binding. He did a great job and wants to make another quilt soon. Another young quilter in my family!

Great quilt and he did a super job on it! Now that he has run your Tin Lizzie, he might turn out to be your quilting buddy.

That is AWESOME...and love how he took a nap under his new creation!!! Good for you teaching him...I am starting to tell people I will show you...instead of doing it for them. If they really want a quilt they will learn...that is how I got started.

Great quilt and it looks like it is very cozy :-) Thanks for sharing your time and talent to teach another young quilt artist :-)

Great quilt ... that's what it's all about ... teaching the next generation to quilt. Congratulations to you and to your grand nephew.
