DD and SIL are having a child custody hearing. It's very detailed and very stressful. Sad one lawyer is making it a parent bashing instead of what's best for the children. The children were living in unfit conditions so my DD and her DH received temp custody of his four kids for the last year. Had to find a bigger house, bigger vehicle, and bigger paycheck practically overnight  Now the permanent custody case is being decided. Now it is up to a judge to decide if the kids go back to their mom or stay. So stressful for the kids who don't want to live with their mom but love her.

I hate those situations. It is so hard on the children. I hope this one works out to whatever is best for the kids.

Are the children old enough to have a voice in this, I hope so. Prayers for you and your family and I hope the judge is listening with an open heart.

I'll be thinking of you. This is stressful for all of you. Sometimes the courts don't know what is best, and it is only as fair as the child and family services representatives allow it to be. Good Luck.
