This is never a good situation, even in the best of scenarios :(

I've been in that position and it's not pleasant at all, I'll be keeping your family in my prayers today for a positive outcome for everyone, good luck!

Never a good situation....reason #1 for people to be careful who they marry. Divorce hurts the kids most of all....the adults can just walk away...the kids are caught in the middle!

It is a hard situation, and the kids do have some residual issued from this. The best we can do is love the kids, support them and as always, prayer can get us through most situations.

I went through this, luckily with only one step-daughter years ago. Good luck to you all!

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts. The case is over and the judge will have his decision in 14 days. He'll call the lawyers at 8:00 am. I guess this is a new way of delivering the decision. So everything is still up in the air about where the kids will go to school and where they will live.

That's weird why would they say the decision would be in 14 days but they'll call the lawyers at 8am? Will keep ya'll in my prayers for this to be settled soon, I cannot even imagine how difficult this wait is going to be.

Even the emergency temp hearing the judge delivered his decision over the phone three days after he heard the case.

I sure hope the kids come out of all this mess unharmed, doubt that will happen. Judges don't really care about the kids, just want to be done with it all. This can be a nightmare, permanant custody can be changed if other party decides they want the kids. Hearts my heart to know kids have to go through these things and others.
