Lovely work. Such a beautiful little girl. I smocked for my daughter when she was little. She is now 51.

I am still in love with smocking. I had a dear friend who used to smock everything imaginable and it was always so lovely. I wish I had picked her brain on how to convert patterns to allow for smocking. Now.... I am all about quilting and seldom do garments any longer. But I still like the look.... any one remember Polly Flinders dresses that always had beautiful smocking on well made garments.
