DH takes a lot of meds and mentioned to his doc that he sometimes gets leg cramps at night. The physician's assistant said, Put a bar of soap under the sheet down by your legs.

I was flabbergasted to hear this from a medical person at a university teaching hospital/ medical center. But I looked it up online and a lot of people swear by it.

I put it in the bed last night, so we will see if it works. I should put it between the 2 of us as I get them sometimes too.

I had heard Ivory soap. Never tried it. Some people swear by drinking a glass of water just before bed time ( I'd spend the night in the bathroom). For the past 5 years I've been taking a magnesium tablet at dinner time. Works for me as when I miss one my leg hurts. Of course that may be just me.

I like ivory best. We actually keep one on each side! When I was preggers they would be so bad that it would tear muscle tissue in my leg. Iron Pills helped them be less traumatic, but it wasn't until we started the soap that they actually went away.

Yes, it does work. I put a bar of soap between our bottom sheet and the mattress cover and my husband has had no leg cramps since. the camps would wake him up and even yelling out in pain...Yes, it does work.

Yes this is true.. it really works. I put the bar at the foot of the bed under the fitted sheet and it works great I also change the bar about every three months.
