30+ inches of snow is lots better than 3" of ice.
We just trapese through the snow, too old to shovel snow, it always goes away.

I have a daughter living in Granger. She often ignores some of the storm warnings since she works from home. Luckily, this time she got out on Friday and went to the store just in case. It looks like that was a very good idea. Stay safe and warm....sharonb too.

Ah yes the '78 blizzard. We lived on the west side of Indy at the time. DH was working near Plymouth and we had not moved yet. I was home with my two youngest. Luckily I had enough food to get by. I did have to reuse a coffee filter a few times. They're easy to rinse out but you can't get the pleats back.

Here where I'm at they say it's going to be bad but on the weather channel nothing is mentioned about the Chattanooga area. I have a feeling we're going to get the tail end of it...hope. Man I love the snow but when you have to get back and forth to work, you live on a back back road...2 backroads over...and you HAVE to be at work or they've already threatend that you BE there or else...well what do ya do!? Nursing homes, they don't close up for weather! I have 2 Daughters & Mom work in dietary and you have to be there. We're calling their boss...she has a 4 x 4 "Come Get Us"!! But I'm hoping it's not as bad as they say it is...Does anyone go by the Farmers Almanac? They say it's not going to be that bad...

I'm from Mishawaka IN. Next to SB. We got about 25 inches yesterday. I heard on WSBT that it was a record for the most snow fall in one day ever. Even the blizzard of 78 which spanned over 2 to 3 days. Roads are pretty clear today but yesterday I didn't think it would ever stop. I think Mishawaka and South Bend got the brunt of it because if you drive around the area others didn't get near as much as us. This is unusual because the storms normally miss the Mishawaka area.
