Those are so pretty! I'd rather wear spats like those than the clunky looking thick-soled jobs I see a lot of. Great job as always!

Gee, I didn't make these girls. This was a picture of the designer's spats. I wish I did have them made already. That would be a great gift for christmas. She just mentioned them yesterday in an email to me and I thought maybe someone had made them and could direct me to where they got thier pattern.

Oh my goodness - A Tree Grows In Brooklyn!!!!!! I was just thinking about that book 2 days ago and was going to go re-read after the holiday - what a great book! Yep - spats have been around a long time huh??!!

Steampunk chic is the book I saw them in (GD is into that now, so I had to read up as to make her things) .. Its amazing what was old is now new ..
