Much to my surprise, at work today, I was presented with a lovely arrangement of pink roses and gift certificates for a manicure and pedicure. Seems that is was Secretaries Day. I've never heard of such, but was certainly surprised and pleased with the gift!

So, to all you other secretaries, "Happy Secretaries Day" :)

Don't you just love these made up holidays! It's been around for ages, but now it's usually called Administrative Professionals Day.

If you are a secretary or administrative assistant, you earned everything you received and more. May your tomorrows be as great as your today.

Don't know if my boss remembered it himself, or if he had help from his wife, but it doesn't matter; it was a very nice gesture. He's a very kind man.

Administrative Professionals day. I took my staff out for lunch- they love to be fed. I asked if they wanted flowers or food. Food always wins. :)

And I enjoy the down time for an hour to catch up with them and their families. We all get along so well and sometimes things get busy and we don't stay connected.

It was a good day!
