I have a strange owl story. About 15 yrs. ago, in CO, my middle daughter had her horse pastured about half a mile from our house. In the summer, early evening, she would walk to where the horse was, check to see he was OK, and walk back home. She spotted an owl over where the horse was and started "talking" to it and it started following her back to our house every evening. I couldn't believe it, so went out one night to check her story out and sure enough, there it was, perched in a tree by the house while we said a who-who good night to him. This went on all fall.

That is really cool. When we moved her 4 years ago we had an owl living in the barn, but with horses and goats moving in, he took up residence elseware by the second year. Probably another uninhabited barn down the road.

This is very cool. I think it is very difficult to see owls. I appreciate your sharing these photos. They are great.

Can't remember where but I have seen an owl quilt pattern some place. Your picture reminded me of it.

Since you love owls, I just have to share a picture with you. We were at an RV Ranch (horses) in Colorado that had a lot of trees. This little guy appeared on our patio one afternoon. We called local group and they came and got him.
