Default "Wreaths" Cancer Research fundraiser in Rowlett, Texas

I have to put my quilting on hold for a little while. I met a wonderful lady in the ICU waiting room recently when a family member was ill. She told me about a cancer research fund raiser that be done in conjunction with the "Relay for Life" in Rowlett, Texas.

I have several family members and friends how are cancer survivors and some that lost their battle; so this is a wonderful opportunity for me to donate items for the fund raiser. I make "wreaths" using the plastic rings from a 6-pack of soda cans. Instead of doing the traditional Christmas colors I will be using colors representing the various ribbon colors for the different types of cancers.

I thought I would share the idea with my friends at QB. This may be something you would like to do as well.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and look at the pictures. Have a wonderful summer!

On one of the link on the Missouri Star Utube videos, I found a video of pop tab bracelets. They would look great done in the different cancer ribbon colours. It did not show how to do them but I figured it out from the pictures. Your wreaths look great but if you are looking for more ideas, check pop tab bracelets out.
