Default Embroidery software: Personalize-n-Stitch 2.0

I have a Brother PE770 embroidery machine and am looking at buying some software. Viewing designs on the PE770 screen is pretty hopeless sometimes. I have been playing with the free 30-day trial of www.amazingdesigns.com Personalize-n-Stitch 2.0 and it is a lot fun but pricey at $200. I love being able to see things clearly and in color on my laptop. Thoughts on the Personalize-n-Stitch 2.0 from those that have it? Other recommendations for software?

I do not know about that software, but I have software on my computer and I love using it. It is Vikings and very expensive but worth every penny I paid for it.

Embird also has a trial download. It's modular, so you only need to buy the moduals you need.

Amazing Designs is owned by Babylock. The less expensive software are just offshoots of the really expensive design.
I played with them when they came out. Very usable for a beginner. Babylock does have good customer service. Why pay for something you don't need? I have Masterworks 2.

Nancy's Notions has Letter It by Amazing Designs for $99

There are reviews on Amazon of Amazing Designs, you could also read those and make up your mind pro and con.

For myself, if something does work the way I want, it's worth the expense rather than futz around.

Embird is also good. It's online mostly but there are help groups on Yahoo. Compusew with Jan is one.

If you have any Babylock dealers in the area, check for sales. It used to be discounted as an introductory offer when it first came out.

Don't know that software, I have P.E.Design. But also a couple of free softwares--Pulse Ambassador (view design, change format, print design in color with all details of color changes, thread, etc in size. Handy for layout on garment. My Editor shows view of image of emb design--change colors, size, cut away/copy/paste...I can't live without this one. Both free, but you have to open the program to view the images.
If you just want to view images of your designs with thread changes, size, stitch count --then you might want to look at Embrilliance Thumbnailer. Shows mage of the design from the moment of D/L or opening folder. It works with Windows and Mac as well--costs abt $40 and IMO worth every penny. I've used it for several yrs. I store my designs in My Documents folder and when I open, there are all my designs so I can see them in color. I am not affliated, but recently had a problem installing my copy to Win10. The rep contacted me by phone, remotely thru my computer, he updated my copy and installed it for me remotely (saying I had an old copy-not updated). They give super service and you have a CD for installing into another computer. There are a couple of other free softwares for viewing & changing format, so you might want to look at WilcomTruesizer and also Embroiderymodder. Hope there is some help here.

Sandra, I have had Embird for years, I LOVE IT! Well worth the money..You don't need all the fancy stuff, the Basic is great. I use it about everyday, saving designs to my thumb-drives, stitching out a design...you can print out your instruction/color sheets as well. Just my 2 cents worth.
