I haven't posted much but I have been trying to stay up on reading as many posts as I can. 2010 ended bittersweet, as we all knew this was out last holiday time with my dad. He has been battling cancer for several years. It is a rare form, he was the 24th person in the US to be diagnosed with it. We all are thankful that God has given us time to say all that we need to say.

We were informed Monday that the cancer is winning and nothing more can be done. Hospice has been called in. We were not prepared to hear this just yet. I work full time, homeschool our daughter who is a senior this year and now I'm spending time helping my mother with my dad. I am so blessed that my boss has told me to take as much time possible to be with my parents. My DH goes down several times a day to help as well.

I know God has a plan for all this but we all need your prayers to get through this. My siblings are helping and supporting as much as possible. I'm closest so I am first responder.

I have already asked that when the time comes, I want some of his cotton shirts to one day make a memory quilt.

Please keep us in your prayers and when it slows down, I'll be back posting and sewing.

Prayers are with you, I just went thru the same thing last year only it was our son. No one is ever prepared for this terrible disease that takes our loved ones from us.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at a very difficult time. May the good memories you have give you some peace.
